Insurance and Billing
On behalf of all the physicians and staff, we do wish to take this time to thank you kindly and appreciate you choosing The Women’s Specialists of Houston at Texas Children’s Hospital for your health care needs.
We do participate with most Health Insurance plans. Please contact your insurance company to find out if our physicians participate with your plan. In order for us to determine benefits, please have your insurance card available when calling to schedule your appointment. This will help us verify your benefits before your visit and reduce your wait time during the check in process. Although we have verified your insurance, you must still bring your insurance card and drivers license with you. These documents will be used to verify your identity. We do this to protect you and your family from insurance and identity fraud.
We require payment be made at the time services are rendered. We accept cash, credit cards and checks. If we are contracted providers with your insurance company and are able to verify and confirm coverage, you will only be responsible for your co-pay, co-insurance and deductible at the time of your visit. Our office will bill your primary insurance company as a service, however all secondary insurance billing is the patient’s responsibility. The only exception is Medicare patients who have arranged for automatic crossover of claims.
Please note: Verification of coverage is not a guarantee of coverage or payment by your insurance company. You will be considered responsible for all visits, labs and procedures not covered by your insurance. It is in your best interest to fully read and understand all aspects of your health insurance coverage. Contact your insurance provider or benefits office if you have any questions about the specifics of your insurance coverage.
