Born in London, England and raised in Houston, Dr. Damla Dryden attended Rice University as a National Merit Scholar with a double major in Biochemistry and Managerial Studies. She graduated Magna Cum Laude, High Honors, with a BA from Rice University. She completed her Medical Degree at Washington University School of Medicine, in St. Louis, Missouri in 1997. She then went on to complete her Residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2001, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
As a Board Certified Physician since 2001, Dr. Dryden is a well recognized medical provider in the Houston community and has spent her extra time as a volunteer and educator through her medical training and as a private practitioner. Dr. Dryden’s list of honors, achievements and awards are outstanding and numerous. She was awarded the Baylor Voluntary Faculty Teaching Award, three years consecutively and was voted among the Best Doctors in America, in 2005 and 2006.
Her publications have been featured in Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Journal of the Society for Gynecological Investigation.
Throughout her medical education and career, Dr. Dryden has excelled in every facet, receiving honors, scholarships and merit awards for outstanding student or faculty member. In her private practice, she continues to focus on excellence, cutting edge technology and caring in her daily encounters with all her patients and peers. She also offers a full range of services and counseling within the general specialty of OB/GYN. Her compassion for women’s healthcare, in-depth clinical experience and her attractive friendly personality, has lead to a large established practice which is very well respected by patients and medical providers in the community.
Fluent in Spanish and Turkish, she has helped patients from around the world – who continue to return regularly and seek her kind and exceptional care. She is happily married and her family is her passion. Her hobbies include mentoring young students, scuba diving, travel, international wine and cuisine.
